Taylor Swift added break-up song “The 1” to the Eras tour setlist when Joe Alwyn broke up
Taylor Swift added mid-run break-up song “The 1” to her tour setlist amid her alleged split from boyfriend of six years, Joe Alwyn.
Reports surfaced on Sunday (April 9) claiming that the singer and the British actor had split a few weeks ago.
Accordingly entertainment tonightShe, who first reported on the alleged breakup, said the breakup was “not dramatic” and the relationship was just “running its course.”
A source close to the couple also reportedly confirmed the split People.
Swift is currently performing as part of her Eras tour of the US, while Alwyn has not been seen at any of the shows since the shows began on March 18th.

As part of the setlist of their 2020 album folkloreSwift first kicked off the tour with the song “Invisible String,” about the inner connection between two lovers.
However, since her show in Arlington, Texas on March 31, she has been performing instead folklore Opener “The 1,” a song about a breakup in which Swift sings about “waking up alone.”

The Independent has reached out to Swift representatives for comment.
Alwyn appeared in the scripts for a number of tracks folklore under the pseudonym William Bowery. He also co-wrote songs Always And midnight.
Throughout their relationship, the couple kept things private conversations with friends Star Alwyn explained last year: “It’s just not for other people. And I don’t say that with aggression. I don’t know how best to talk about this.
“I mean, I’m aware that people have … so much interest and that this world exists. It’s just not something that I particularly care about or have a great deal of interest in feeding I guess because the more it’s fed the more you open a gate for intruders.”
Swift also rarely spoke about her relationship with Alwyn, saying in October: “[With] In my six-year relationship, we’ve had to dodge weird rumors, tabloid stuff, and we just ignore it.
